For Children
Programs and services especially for children.
Our philosophy is to foster the love of books and reading in each child.
Our Children's Room is located in the lower level of the Library. You may enter from the upstairs or use the ramp entrance. We have a very homey atmosphere! Besides our wonderful collection of books, we have puzzles, games, and magazines to browse. Our Library also has Storybags to circulate. Each Storybag has a different theme, containing about 3 books, an activity sheet, and an item that identifies with that theme. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and the Glenwood Public Library teamed together to make these available for loan.

Story Time: Everyone is welcome to come to the Library's Story Time, designed especially for children 3 yrs.- Kindergarten. The programs will include stories, rhymes, finger plays, songs and crafts. Parents/caregivers do not need to stay with their children during the program, but must remain in the Library building (although we encourage you to stay and enjoy the story time, too!).
Summer Reading Program: Each year the library offers a 5-week reading extravaganza known as the "Summer Reading Program." Children read books for prizes! In addition, we have dozens of free events throughout the summer. Find out about our current Summer Reading Program by visiting this website's Calendar of Events.
